About Stephen Skulley

I am a former CEO and Senior Banker who has led regulated financial services businesses across all ‘life-cycle’ stages; from start-up, growth, strategic refocus, restructure/ downsize to exit/sale. In my current role as a Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner with Austrade, my focus is to deliver productive direct foreign investment into Australia and support Australian exporters access international markets. My prior executive role was as Singapore CEO and Asia Regional Head for Lloyds Bank; where I led the establishment of the Singapore regional commercial banking hub. Before that, I was the Corporate Banking Head for Citigroup in Australia. I am regulatory-certified as a Responsible Officer by the MAS in Singapore and ASIC in Australia, and an Approved Person by the CRA in the UK. I have a Bachelor and Master of Engineering, an MBA from IMD, a Graduate Membership of the AICD and a Member of the Singapore Institute of Directors. My disruptive technology education is; FinTech and Big Data certificates from MIT, and Blockchain certificates from the Said-Oxford School of Business and the B9lab Academy.
