About Stephen Smith

Stephen K. Smith is a 16 year veteran of the USAF. His career in the Security Forces (Police) industry began in 1998 when he joined the United States Air Force. Over the next 3 years Stephen worked gates controlling access to the Installations and Resources such as Aircraft while stationed at Tinker AFB, OK and Osan AB, South Korea. Then while stationed at Fairchild AFB, WA, he went on his 1st of 6 deployments in August of 2001, 9/11 occured and shortly later deployments into Iraq started. Furthermore, while at Fairchild, Stephen grew to become an excellent all around Patrolman/Desk Sergeant (Dispatcher). While there Stephen garnered certifications in Breath, Alcohol Content (BAC), Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST), Radar/Lidar, ACCESS/WACIC. He processed numerous crime scenes, ensured reports/paperwork were done correctly and on time, processed over 50 DUI's and assisted with Confinement operations, ensuring Inmates were dealt with according to Air Force guidance. Finally in late 2009 Stephen was handpicked for assignment to the United States Expeditionary Center as a Tactical Operations Instructor. While assigned to the center, he was charged with training deploying "cops" teaching them the tactical mindset of our mission and keeping them up to date on Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP's). Stephen trained over students in his time as an Instructor. Throughout his military career, Stephen held various leadership positions, culminating his retirement from active duty as a manager of over 30 military members In retirement Stephen has begun to get his IT degree, and is pursuing to encompass that with his Criminal Justice degree.
