About Stephen Terauds
Stephen Terauds has contributed to many of William Nycum & Associates Limited’s projects since joining the firm in 2003, with a focus on airport renovation and new construction, assisted living and long term care facilities, and single family residences. Recently, Stephen has been involved in the design and construction of 11 Long Term Care Facilities in Nova Scotia as part of the Province’s strategy to update its standards and provide new Long Term Care beds. These 11 facilities represent a total of close to 500 new beds and range in size from 10 to 156 beds. Stephen has taught first year design studios at Dalhousie University School of Architecture,has been a regular guest critic for first and second year design courses there, and currently teaches the National Building Code of Canada. He is an active participant in many of the Halifax Regional Municipality’s urban planning and design related advisory bodies.
