As an expert witness, I assist law firms in complex litigation involving hedge funds, alternative investment and / or private equity issues. Previously, I was a founding Partner and General Counsel of Wayzata Investment Partners ("Wayzata"), an investment manager located in Wayzata, Minnesota with approximately $8 billion under management. I was an Investment Principal with the predecessor business to Wayzata, which was part of Cargill Financial Services Corporation. Prior to that, I was a Senior Attorney in the Law Department of Cargill, Inc. and worked as an Associate at Dorsey & Whitney in Minneapolis. Presently, I serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arrow Sheds Holding LLC in Wayne, New Jersey and previously, I was Chairman of the Board of Special Devices, Inc, in Mesa, Arizona until that company was sold in 2012. I am also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Lutheran Social Services Foundation of Minnesota and Chairman of the Foundation Investment Committee. My two partners and I were the owners of a thoroughbred race horse who won the 2010 Minnesota Derby at Canterbury Park, Minnesota.
