About Steve Armitage

Steve Armitage BEng MSc MA CEng MRAeS RAF(Retd) I’m a Senior Principal Systems Engineering Consultant with extensive experience in complex Systems Engineering, engineering operations, the management of safety (personnel and equipment/ordnance), equipment qualification and logistics. I’ve worked in both the public and private sectors, in military and industrial environments. Much of my experience has been in highly-regulated fields of military aviation, weapons and nuclear safety. I’ve a track-record of successful delivery, in complex, high-tempo and high-stress environments. I’m used to rigid output and cost constraints, and consistently combine successful project delivery with securing follow-on business. I’m passionate about guiding others in their professional development and proud to have been able to mentor many talented people over the years. I consider myself an excellent relationship builder and enjoy leading large and diverse teams. But I’m equally happy working alone. Most importantly I still like a challenge!
