About Steve Bakos

I am a Lead Machine Learning Developer and PhD student at York University dedicated to bridging the gap between state-of-the-art research and high-impact commercial products. In my role at CircuitIQ, I lead the development of end-to-end AI systems, specializing in Large Language Models (LLMs), NLP, and data engineering to create scalable, real-world solutions. Concurrently, my doctoral research focuses on a critical frontier: reducing LLM hallucinations through self-play. This dual focus allows me to build with the pragmatism of an engineer while tackling problems with the rigor of a researcher. I am passionate about creating robust AI and thrive on challenges in Reinforcement Learning, Adversarial ML, and building practical Generative AI applications.
