I love the Sign Business and I love New Orleans! Time does pass quickly, I got my start in the Sign Industry in 1977, working for the Brignac Family, who owned the original Industrial Signs. At the time it was the largest Sign Company in the Southeast region, with customers like K&B, Time Saver, and many of the largest companies in New Orleans and the Gulf South. Industrial Signs was also where my future wife’s Uncle was employed for over 40 years! When I started, I was just a 20 year old green kid, and I learned a lot from some real “old time” sign professionals. The Brignacs were really good people to work for and I was very fortunate to have started my Sign Career with them! The last 32 years have been spent here at A-1 Signs. A-1 is also a family owned company, founded by Sam Palermo and currently owned and run by the family’s 2nd Generation - Pam Palermo Blauvelt & her husband Lloyd. A third family generation is also working in the company and will someday assume the reins. It has happily become my “work home”. A -1 is the place that I really do look forward to going each day when I leave my real home and family. The people I work with have become my “professional family”, and together we have not only accomplished some amazing things but have managed to enjoy ourselves, too!#A-1Signs50PlusYearsStrong!
