Steve Botha is a senior project manager / engineer with particular skills and expertise in project construction and contract management, and geotechnical and environmental engineering. His experience includes management of a wide variety of support projects for the oil & gas industry, as well as CBM exploration and development, construction management for infrastructure projects such as LNG plant facilities, road works, water supply, coastal reclamation, runways, wharf construction, geothermal, landfill, paper mill developments and seismic risk assessments - all with an uncompromising focus on quality of build and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) delivery. Steve has over 30 years of professional experience, having worked fulltime in, or consulted to, major international private sector companies, as well as government agencies. In particular, Steve has spent the past 20 years supporting BP on a number of oil & gas projects. Steve has a suite of well-developed and valuable professional skills, including construction management, engineering, project planning, project controls, interface management & coordination, reporting, risk management and HSE delivery. Through his career working internationally, he has developed excellent cross-cultural communication and management skills, and is experienced in handling the challenges (and opportunities) of multi-national and cross-cultural teams. Steve has been based in Indonesia for the past 25 years.
