A driven, resilient and passionate safeguarding professional, I bring over 27 years of experience leading criminal investigations around safeguarding. Dedicated to protecting others, my tenacity and commitment to my work has been recognised professionally and resulted in the conviction of some of the most dangerous criminals. During my career with Surrey Police, I have led numerous investigations from start to finish, safeguarding hundreds of victims, whilst demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, sound decision making and emotional intelligence. To ensure I am providing the very best protection, I have completed extensive training, including digital forensics, advanced interviewing and specialist investigative skills, using my strong technical skills and forensic training to recover valuable evidence from digital devices. In addition to dealing with the offenders during investigations, I work closely with the victims, some as young as 4 years old, and their families. Showing empathy, sensitivity and understanding, I build trust and ensure they feel safe and supported whilst sharing their experiences, offering ongoing support during the investigation and court process. Travelling the country to identify, interview and safeguard multiple victims during one such investigation, I received a Commendation for the compassion and support I showed to the victims’ families throughout the ordeal. Using my strong written and verbal communication skills, I produce high quality reports which have directly contributed to securing prosecutions, and articulately presented evidence and justified decision making in court. The quality of my court files have been commented on by Crown Prosecutors and other case review professionals. Recognised for consistently going above and beyond, I have received multiple Commendations for my investigative work. I was also nominated for a Chief’s Constable’s annual award, acknowledging my invaluable contributions to the team and victims in Surrey.
