About Steve Cascio

I’ve always been fascinated by technology. One of my earliest memories is my grandfather handing me a broken car radio and encouraging me to take it apart to see how it worked. After hours of disassembly, I still couldn’t make sense of it, and that frustrated me. I wanted to fix it, but I lacked the knowledge. That feeling of inadequacy sparked something in me: a determination to truly understand how technology works and to build the skills to solve problems, not just explore them. At 18, I decided to join the Marines as an electronics technician. That decision gave me the training and discipline I needed to turn curiosity into capability. After my service, I continued working as an electronics technician while pursuing my bachelor’s degree. I didn’t just want to understand hardware, I wanted to master the software side as well. That led me to study Management Information Systems, and in 2012 I graduated with my degree. Since then, I’ve built a career in data engineering and analytics, helping organizations turn raw data into meaningful insights. I’ve developed reporting solutions that empower leaders with accurate, scalable, and reusable information to make better decisions. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of working with talented colleagues who have challenged and inspired me. Together, we’ve delivered products I’m proud of and I’ve gained a wealth of experience that continues to drive my passion for technology. It’s been an incredible journey, one that began with a broken car radio and has grown into a fulfilling career at the intersection of hardware, software, and data.
