About Steve Criss

With over 20 years of hands-on marketing and public relations management experience, I am a versatile and strategic marketing and communications administrator at UConn Health, where I serve as the primary project manager for all health marketing projects to support the institution’s various service lines as well as academic and research initiatives. I hold a bachelor's degree in Journalism & Communications, a Master of Public Administration degree, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management, which makes me uniquely adept at developing marketing and communications plans for initiatives where public, private, government, and nonprofit stakeholder interests intersect. Some of the key aspects of my role include marketing project management, daily internal pandemic data reporting, email marketing solutions to support patient relations, and reviewing and evaluating public-facing patient feedback and overall brand perceptions. Through these responsibilities, I contribute to enhancing UConn Health's reputation, outreach, and impact. I am passionate about leveraging my marketing and communications skills to advance UConn Health's mission of improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
