I am a Senior Project Manager with over 35 years’ experience across the full project life cycle delivering solutions for the energy sector. I specialised in offshore living quarters in 1988. This has evolved into the management of the engineering and the interfaces required to design, build and commission a fully functional module. I have held senior positions in charge of EPIC projects ranging from small units to + tonne modules. With reference to BP Valhall I was the PE then Site Manager for the design and build of a HVDC Module for the offshore part of the Power from Shore System and a 180-man NORSOK LQ taking this project from FEED to offshore HUC and habitation. Currently the Delivery Manager for the TenneT 2GW HVDC Platforms Balwin 4 and Lanwin 1. Senior Project Manager, McDermott Inc. May 2017 - Present. Previously: Woodside Scarborough FPU Hull and Living Quarters (75 POB normally minimal manned facility) Delivery Manager for the FPU Hull 2024-2025. Delivery Manager for the LQ with the technical and commercial responsibilities. McDermott fully sub-contracted to COSCO Shipping in China.(2019- 2025) My involvement was from FEED through subcontractor selection, COVID remote management of the subcontract to the full EPC execution in China. Various projects ranging from a 16,500 Tonne Process Deck, Wellhead Platforms and a large Jacket. Project Manager for the strategy and bid proposals for a Topsides, 6 Wellhead Platforms, 5,200 Tonne ULQ and various HVDC Modules. At BP Plc. I held the position of LQ Site / Delivery Manager for the Valhall LQ, PFS HVDC Module and Clair Ridge LQ. Both projects were constructed at separate sites to the Main Project Topsides Fabricator. I have had considerable involvement with the IVB and Classification Societies to develop and deliver performance standards to demonstrate compliance with legislation and flag rules. I have worked closely with the HCA and CAA in the delivery of helidecks to the latest CAP 437 rules.
