About Steve Davie

BACKGROUND I am a Chartered Accountant with a background largely in the accountancy profession. I joined Price Waterhouse from University, and left in 2002 after 26 years, 14 of them as a partner, working with multinational organisations on their financial affairs and acquisitions. I then spent 7 years in commerce as Group Finance Director at Harrods Holdings, and in private equity at W Investments (UK) Limited. In 2009, I invested in a Bluebird Care social care franchise in Bromley, extended the franchise to Sevenoaks in 2011, and to Lewisham and Southwark in 2014. WHAT I DO NOW I manage (and part own) a company which provides home care services to vulnerable people and their wider family groups so that they can continue to live securely in their own homes and delay the day when a move to dependent residential care cannot be avoided. The company specialises in assisting family groups coping with a family member with a dementia diagnosis. We also specialise in the recruitment and management of live-in carers, who live full time with vulnerable people whose domestic circumstances make it possible to accomodate a live-in personal assistant. We find, train and police check the live-in carers and assume all responsibilities of employer. WHO I WORK WITH We work with vulnerable people and their families within the boundaries of Lewisham, Southwark, Bromley and Sevenoaks. Vulnerabilities include dementia diagnoses, frailty, sensory impairment, loss of mobility, reduction in cognitive capability, learning disability and various forms of physical disability. PERSONAL NOTE After a career in the global accounting profession, I am now really enjoying working locally, bringing to bear my knowledge and energy to organise a high quality personalised home care service to discerning private customers in South East London, Bromley and Sevenoaks.
