I take great pride in providing the Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Spa with the stewardship it needs to stay an industry leader by leveraging extraordinary customer care and community involvement to surpass revenue goals.As General Manager of an award-winning hotel, I consider myself a cultural ambassador with a responsibility to the people in- and outside the walls of the hotel. As such, I’m committed to cultivating relationships: growing the business by building community from the inside out. HIGH PERFORMANCE - My team and I have worked hard to surpass both business and quality goals. To an outside observer, the clearest demonstration of this may be in the numbers and awards achieved:> Highest score of all North American Marriott hotels on 2013’s Quality Assurance audit;> Hitting the flow-through target every year; and> General Manager of the Year (2009, 2012)However, the accomplishments of which I’m most proud are intangible:COMMUNITY CONNECTIVITY - We earned the 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2019 "Community Service Award” from the Arizona Lodging and Tourism Association for fundraising and charitable initiatives:> Feeding families and furnishing a suite at Ronald McDonald House;> Donating a portion of restaurant sales to a unique cause each month; and > Building for Habitat for Humanity alongside my team and homeowners.>Preparing and serving meals at the Andre House of Hospitality in Phoenix.ENGAGED TEAM - Led the hotel to be voted by employees as Phoenix’s 5th medium-sized “Best Place to Work” for:> Improving hotel's TripAdvisor ranking to #10 out of 174 Phoenix hotels in 2017;> Sending task forces to other properties in need of leadership or extra staff; and> Initiating mentoring and team-building programs.Stephen Eberhartsteveeberhart@ymail.com
