An experienced video veteran forged in the crucible of Hofstra University and hardened through nearly a decade working in a nonprofit public TV station. Familiar with Castus and Leightronix broadcasting platforms, Tricaster and DataVideo switchers, Shure and Mackie mixers, and JVC's line of ENG cameras. My skill set balances creative and technical elements, making me a well-rounded video production and post production generalist capable of filling any role, with specialties in A/V signal flow and system design, IP encoding, transmission, and troubleshooting of audio and video streams over LAN and WAN, directing, switching, and mixing live-to-tape and recorded studio production, and broadcasting live government meetings. Prefer Adobe Premiere but can get by in Final Cut. Non-video skills include basic network administration, basic Windows and Mac OSX system administration, Synology NAS administration, building desktop computers for different purposes and budgets, and troubleshooting computer software and hardware as needed. Effective at problem solving and communication with/between both technical and non-technical persons. Awards include two First Place and two Third Place entries in the ACM-NE Film Festival from 2017-2019, induction into Phi Eta Sigma honor society in 2007, Eagle Scout rank in 2005, and a 2003 Gold Key in the Boston Globe Scholastic Art show. Hobbies include building and maintaining computers, playing historical strategy games, baking and cast iron cooking, and raising African cichlids.
