With a prolific career of over two decades encompassing a wide range of organizational contexts, progressively prominent leadership roles, and mission-critical endeavours, I have established myself as an accomplished and forward-looking educational leader. The wealth of my experience has allowed me to acquire a holistic vision of organizational priorities, internal capabilities, and students’ needs, which in turn enables me to define and implement effective strategies supporting long-term objectives. First and foremost, I like to think of myself as a proficient connector of teams and people who takes pride in fostering fruitful collaboration between staff, teachers, parents, and community partners, instilling positive learning environments and work climates, encouraging innovation, and mobilizing groups around a common mission of excellence. Highlights of my career include: Spearheaded multiple initiatives to break down barriers and set students up for success, notably by offering transportation for parent meetings, holding council meetings at the local mall for better accessibility, and providing students with free breakfast. Drove a significant improvement in parent engagement and ensured that all students felt valued and a sense of belonging by instituting a wide range of activities such as daily student recognition, character assemblies, circle prompts, and restorative practices. Led a committee that strategized an optimal return to school after COVID, formulating actionable recommendations to enhance literacy and social-emotional learning via high-yield solutions such as in-class community building discussions and mindfulness activities. Developed and facilitated a series of 4 workshops annually to identify and support the development of leaders in the Board via mentorship, as a Co-Chair of the Vice Principal Network and core member of the Building Your Leadership Capacity Committee.
