About Steve Grantham

I started my career at our family business, Breakers Mobile Electronics, in 1981 at 15yrs old. I began as a Car Audio Installation Technician and after several years I worked my way up to Service Manager/Customer Service, in charge of operations of the service department where I supervised 15 Installation Techs and managed installations in over of 120 vehicles per week. I also consulted extensively with sales associates on their clients needs and later transitioned to the sales department where I was a top producer for many years. In 2006 our family sold the business and I then joined Scosche Industries. Scosche is an industry leading Car Audio Accessory company and an industry leading Consumer Tech/Apple accessory company. I initially was responsible for the documentation of all OEM audio/video systems, including documentation of the disassembly procedures of automobile interiors, speaker and radio locations, dimensions and wiring codes. This data was used to assist industry dealers and customers to install aftermarket audio equipment in to their vehicles. In 2007 I took over as the Senior Product Manager for Car Audio Installation products. My responsibility was to manage the end-to-end development of new Scosche products from inception through launch. My duties included market research, competitive analysis, cost analysis and sales projections. In addition, I would evaluate and select manufacturing facilities in China for production, prioritize and set schedules for each product development life cycle. As part of my responsibilities I traveled several times a year to China to visit out manufacturing facilities and review all active projects, conduct Quality Control functions and evaluate new manufacturing options. I created my own consulting company SKG and Associates that assists companies with product management and manufacturing strategy and functions within the consumer electronics arena.
