About Steve Grobschmidt

I'm a Product Experience Manager with a broad range of skills honed throughout a 24+ year career. In college, I taught myself how to design and build simple web sites and parlayed those learnings into a job maintaining e-commerce experiences. Within the first year of my career, I was recognized for my leadership and became a supervisor of fellow content developers. I also expanded my technical skills in web design and front-end development. Over those initial years of my career, I learned about the importance of broader user experience design, including: crafting wireframes from rough sketches to interactive prototypes; user research at all stages of product development; formal, informal, in-person and remote usability testing. I’m also passionate about accessibility and inclusive design, the cornerstones of great experiences. I’ve given talks about accessibility and UX/PX at local meet-up groups, online and to organizations I've worked for. I'm also a science fiction/fantasy author, having launched my first book Gemini Girl in March 2023. The sequel The Divided Man will be available June 2023.
