About Steve Holmes

Procurement supply network lead with over 10 years of industry experience. Currently working as a procurement manager in the industrial fastenings industry. During the past 5 years I personally drove and implemented the creation of an Australian Standard compliant and competitive new range of fasteners from across Asia, which were an industry disrupter within South-East Queensland but also nation wide. Prior to this I worked in a client-facing warehouse manager role where I was responsible for all stock logistics and purchasing across multiple warehouses. Central to this was the strong relationships developed with suppliers and ongoing management of key contacts within the industry. Core skills include- Skilled in Purchasing- Contract and pricing negotiations- Operations Management- HR management- Customer Service- Supplier relationship management. I am currently in final year of study, undertaking a Bachelor of Business with a major in logistics, materials, and supply chain management from RMIT University; expected graduation in December 2023. GPA is 6.55 currently tracking at high-distinction. In addition, I have achieved a yellow belt in six-sigma supply chain processes.
