About Steve Howard

Bringing together a solid background of strategic leadership, management and organization development experience, I would be uniquely positioned to provide valuable insight and guidance to an organization. My experience includes leading a technology and security division of a large electrical cooperative, leading and directing multiple staff members and helping develop strategic security and infrastructure initiatives. Additionally, I bring significant experience in the areas of staff development, management, and organizational effectiveness. My leadership responsibilities have included succession planning, training, coaching, team-building, and career development for my direct reports, as well as peer groups and senior executive teams. Historically, I have been successful leveraging my collaborative skills to work cross-functionally towards resolution of issues while fostering strengthened relationships among all stakeholders. Balancing a workload consisting of both short and long-term objectives is a key strength. I thrive on being measured on core competencies such as building effective teams, driving for results, and dealing with ambiguity. My abilities to effectively "manage up", set business direction, and influence outcomes, have been hallmarks of my professional experience. I have had budgetary responsibility that both qualify and quantify the business impacts of my group. My Bachelor of Science in Psychology has allowed me to leverage personal interactions and communications to aid in working with varied personalities from entry-level workeres all the way to senior leaders and board members.
