35 years of Air Traffic Control experience (25 years at Chicago’s O’Hare Tower and Atlanta Tower / Approach Control) My high level of experience working at the two busiest airports in the world cannot be stressed enough. I have worked at VFR Towers, Temporary VFR Towers, FAA TRACONS (New Orleans, Atlanta), Military RAPCONS, complex Airport Control Towers (O’Hare), Atlanta Tower and Approach Control and Baghdad, Iraq Tower/Approach Control. I am able to understand complex airspace and airport systems. Having worked at some of the most complex and busy airports/airspaces in the world provides me with the qualifications for many ATC jobs. I have worked with the TERPS specialist to design, train and institute RNAV procedures in the Atlanta airspace. Atlanta is the FAA leader in RNAV. I have assisted in the review and evaluation of current A80 Atlanta instrument flight procedures. This included RNAV arrivals, SIDS, and STARS. I have also been involved in the review process of new instrument flight procedures in the Atlanta area. In my former position, I was required to teach, train and analyze light to heavy traffic situations,procedures and airspace efficiency. With this analysis I made recommendations for the training program and procedures in the Atlanta airspace. These recommendations allow Atlanta to have a more efficient and safe operation in a complex air traffic control training environment. I developed new radar simulation scenarios. These scenarios are geared towards specific detailed events, which has resulted in improving certified controllers and students overall knowledge and academic scores. Through challenging Air Traffic Control jobs, I have developed a strong sense of responsibility, effective interpersonal skills, and the ability to contribute to teamwork, even in high-pressure environments.
