About Steve Kidwell

I am a US Coast Guard Naval Engineer currently working as an Availability Project Manager at Surface Forces Logistics Center's Icebreaker, Buoy and Construction Tender Product Line in Norfolk, Virginia. As a marine engineer and project manager, I work with military members, civilians, and contractors to plan and execute maintenance for Coast Guard assets. I have 3 years of operational sea-time onboard Coast Guard National Security Cutters and Medium Endurance Cutters in positions as high as Engineer Officer (Chief Engineer). I completed Graduate Thesis Work on Shipboard Power Monitoring and Simulation at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with a focus on field studies and presentation of data for Condition-Based Maintenance and fault detection.In my free time, I enjoy surfing, exploring the outdoors, and fostering dogs through a local shelter. I am also a volunteer wrestling coach for my local High School, Middle School, and Club Teams.
