About Steve Kish

Employed with the Marietta Police Department for the past 28 years serving the citizens of the City. As a Uniform Patrol Officer; School Resource Officer; Bicycle/Crime Prevention Officer; brought the community policing philosophy to the department as the Regional Community Policing Instructor. Heavily involved in the MSTAR program since its inception. Uniform Patrol Sergeant for the Day/Evening/Morning Watch, created the Marietta Gang Task Force and was an Honor Guard supervisor. Enhanced the image of the MPD through numerous community oriented functions as the Community Outreach Sergeant; developed an elite corps of officers as a Sergeant on S.R.T. Authored several strategic plans, studies, ordinances and policies as a Uniform Patrol Lieutenant. Received Re-Accreditation while Lieutenant of Office of Professional Standards and continued to author strategic plans, studies, ordinance and policy revisions. Lead Evening Watch/CIU/STEP/K9 as a Major. Handled budget and administration for the entire department for 18 months then assigned to Investigative Services where I currently manage detectives, crime scene investigators, cyber analysis, DEA and FBI TFO's and multi-jurisdictional drug task force agents (MCS). Counseled and educated many employees according to their individual needs with the ultimate goal being their continued success.
