About Steve Klein

Steve Klein is the founder and CEO of CET Universe, where he oversees the development and marketing of the company's file-based workflow products and services. Steve has hollywood in his blood and began his career as a film editor, working on such Hollywood blockbusters as 'Star Trek' and alongside producers and directors like Richard Donner, Hal Ashby, and many others. A serial entrepreneur, Steve has built several successful companies including Media Distributors in 1998 and before that Steadi Systems, which he co-founded. Steady Systems was sold to DaisyTech in 1997 and Steve founded Media Distributors a year later. In less than 10 years Steve grew Media Distributors into the largest independent distributor of recording media products and systems. In anticipation of a changing industry, Steve formed the Solutions Group within Media Distributors in 2006 and began working on the next generation of portalable editing, archiving, and digital asset management products. In 2010, the Solutions Group was successfully spun off into Steve's latest venture, CET Universe, which is not only a leading reseller of pro video and storage, but is developing the hardware and software to take digital asset management to the next level.
