About Steve Lam

I've worn many hats throughout my professional career: tech support, developer, manager, team lead. In all of those jobs, my skills have varied; but, I've always relied on the same talents: the ability to learn quickly, the ability to troubleshoot technical problems, and the ability to understand the customers' needs even when the customer cannot express those needs. The ability to learn quickly has been pointed out by many of my bosses. I was not made aware of this special ability until they told me because I had always assumed other people learned at my rate. My ability to troubleshoot stems from my personality type: a Myers-Briggs personality type of ISTP. I found an article with a mnemonic phrase that helps me remember my type: I See The Problem. According to the article, ISTP's have an uncanny ability to troubleshoot machinery and computers - something I found to be very true in myself. My ability to understand customers' needs comes from a strong business sense and strong, intuitive UI design.Specialties: ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, SQL, relational database design, OOP, Sitecore
