About Steve Lamar
Steve came from the midwest, but on a whimsical vacation in 1972, he came to Town and never left. He knew that he wanted to stay here and in order to do so some changes needed to be made. Always intrigued by real estate, Steve went to real estate school and obtained his broker’s license at 33, in 1978. While he worked for several years in the local market, he also worked the Rifle market heavily from 1978 – 1982. All of that stopped however as in 1982, Exxon pulled out of the Rifle area and hundreds were left jobless and the market came to a screeching halt. Steve then turned his focus to the Roaring Fork Valley, and that has been his specialty, albeit primarily in Snowmass, for decades. Steve knows more about property and real estate in this wonderful area then nearly anyone. In sum, Steve’s strong, tireless work ethic, honesty, integrity and attention to detail make him a leader in his field. Steve is The Broker to Call.
