The sectors Steve has operated in include Construction, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas(Operations and Projects), Technology and Communications, Logistics, Pharmaceutical, Mining and the Nuclear Industries. Steve has also worked with the Disability and Social Care sectors. International experience includes Europe, Kazakhstan, Russia, Americas, Asia, India and Australia. In particular, considerable experience with major Oil & Gas construction projects and refinery Operations located in Kazakhstan, Asia, India, China and Australia. He has extensive experience in designing, building and executing people development strategies. Steve has served on a number of Government industry working groups. These included- Compatibly and Coherence of Further and Higher Education Database Systems, Europe wide project to create common database standards - NVQ content for Engineering Apprentice learning standards, a project to align industry training and competency levels for Craft, Technical and Degree Mechanical Engineers - Business Bridge, a National Mentor programme aimed at owner managers of SME’s- Supported many national initiatives ranging from assessment and guidance programmes for retraining people who were unemployed for more that 12 months, working with agencies who helped offenders re-integrating back into society to the design of programmes for women returning to job market Steve holds Member status in both the CIPD and the AHRI specialising in People Development and Learning Design.
