About Steve Lanza

My broad global leadership experience in various disciplines, including finance, operations, sales, business management, and HR, has revealed that leadership goes beyond financial performance and includes the impact made on families, businesses, and communities. Through my critical, strategy-oriented mindset and passion for helping others, I endeavor to help business leaders and organizations gain transformational insights as Principal of Tri-Valley Advising and as a Vistage Chair. Spending over 20 years as an executive in the semiconductor industry, I’ve continually translated strategic challenges into leadership opportunities. From leading a team that grew a mid-sized Semi Equipment company to $300M in sales to developing and delivering organizational succession strategies that transitioned the leadership of a Fortune 300 company while it grew 400% during my tenure, I understand how crucial a solid strategic plan is to an organization’s growth and success, and the pivotal role a leader plays in execution. As Principal of Tri-Valley Advising, I look to leverage that expertise, assisting start-ups and mid-sized companies in developing and driving financial and operational strategies. As a Vistage Group Leader, I aim to help local business leaders broaden their leadership skills, enabling increased company performance that, in turn, benefits our community. By facilitating a group of CEOs and business leaders in a confidential setting, my members utilize each other’s diverse insights, process challenges they’re facing, and arrive confidently at solutions that will improve their personal and professional lives. Sharing my business expertise and watching people grow and develop has led to my passion for teaching over the last 20 years. Serving as an Adjunct Professor and Lecturer, I enjoy teaching all levels of students—both graduate and undergraduate— about business, primarily related to strategy. I understand the challenges that come with being a great leader.
