About Steve Layne

I have had the opportunity throughout my career to gain experience in teaching, administration, and leadership. I have enjoyed the fruit of success and have also learned to overcome challenges through diligence and hard work. I worked hard as a student completing multiple degrees, engaging in student leadership and activities, while also working to provide financially. As a professor, I displayed diligence and excellence as I rose in reputation as an expert teacher and trainer of leaders. As a pastor, president of a Prek-12 school, and administrator, I learned how to effectively communicate vision, strategically plan, problem solve, build excellent teams, navigate change, market effectively, manage people and projects, grow numerically, counsel with empathy, and teach for transformation. I have a very optimistic perspective and bring passion and energy into the work environment. I effectively balance consistent accountability and encouragement for those whom I supervise. I also respect authority and welcome personal accountability. I work effectively with people from various backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives. As a leader, I am a unifier who values excellence, a strong work ethic, creativity, ingenuity, and innovation. Personally, my wife and I enjoy as much time as we can in nature. We love hiking in the mountains, off road adventures in our Jeep, travel, cooking, and finding new cuisine to experiment. We enjoy exploring different cultures and learning. We have a heart to help those in need and make a positive difference in the lives of people. I am an employee who is dedicated, hard working, experienced, passionate, loyal, kind, and effective.
