About Steve Lees

A Chance encounter within an Infantry battalion lead me to join the Medical center and start to develop the challenge of Pre-Hospital Care. Both on the ground and more Health care related within the Med Center its self. Now nearly two decades later I find myself still enjoying the role within the NHS- From Patient transport to Paramedic Mentor. My Ambulance Career Started in Sussex Ambulance Service developing a strong cardiac knowledge from the course conducted for all members of staff. My Paramedic career continued to develop within the West country in both urban and rural settings, increasing journey times and patient contact. Continuing to increase my portfolio and Self development,moved to Great Western Ambulance Service on the Paramedic Mentor teams. Helping to train and develop Students both in classroom and Clinical settings. The development of agency Paramedic's gave me a chance to work for multiple Trusts and further explore development of equipment and practice.This has also started to raise my interest in Remote medical work and to hopefully further develop my skills within the Remote setting.
