About Steve Li

I am a Civil engineering student doing a honors undergraduate degree at Monash University. Coming from a family of civil engineers, I grew up with a few insights into working as a structural engineer. I was lucky Monash offered a variety of civil engineering courses which gave me an overview of the different disciplines. I was fascinated by the variety of roles a civil engineer can have, as well as the tangible difference their work could achieve. I am enthusiastic about developing new skills as well as finding efficient, novel solutions to problems. I am currently a Residential advisor for my university hall where I am contributing to creating a welcoming community, celebrating cultural diversity, as well as supporting and looking after my residents. I am a big fan of traveling, I feel extremely lucky having traveled to over 17 countries, where I have gained valuable experience in social skills across many cultures.
