As a pilot I have regular and large periods of downtime that affords me the ability to concentrate on growing my consulting engineering business while on the road and still include weekly office time with clients. I have solid design, analysis and test engineering skills in marine and aircraft industries, with particular expertise in gearbox, actuator and transmission products in the aerospace sector. I am well versed in spur gear design, analysis and manufacturing to AGMA standards. I have gained valuable experience in custom bearing design and gearbox lubrication systems as well as leading teams of engineers from product conceptual design through the qualification process (EASA and FAA). I have developed and written several component maintenance manuals. I have advanced IT skills in all standard office software and equipment including MS Excel and Project as well as being an expert ProE user with over hours of regular use up to version Wildfire 3. I am a trained and knowledgeable user of Pro-Mechanica and ANSYS Workbench.
