About Steve Marks

When I was a teenager, I loved playing with things like Microsoft Front Page and telling the world about my hobbies. When I first clicked that HTML tab at the bottom of the page it opened up a new world to me and I played until my heart was content! Back then, programming was reserved for genius level Maths gurus, so I never felt it was a career option for me. I gravitated away from it, and made a great career for myself in hospitality, working up and down the country becoming knowledgeable about food and drink and sharing that knowledge and passion with my customers. It wasn't until I was about to get married that I rediscovered coding and boy had it changed! I set about creating a website for our wedding and discovered CSS. I was hooked! An outlet for my creativity! Over the next 3 months I took several online courses and built up my skills. Not long after I was confident enough to take on a client to build a web page for their business. I am ready to develop my passion into my career, and my approach is simple. To make something great, make it personal. To borrow a phrase from my previous life,'Isn't homemade always better than fast food!'
