About Steve Marshall

I’m currently working as a Maintenance Planner and Total Productive Maintenance Coordinator. As a Maintenance Planner I’m responsible for creating and maintaining planned maintenance tasks as well as making sure maintenance technicians have the tools and parts they need to complete planned work orders. I report directly to the maintenance manager, and help the organization achieve certain levels of production. As a Total Productive Maintenance Coordinator my focus is on helping to keep all equipment in top working condition to avoid breakdowns and delays in our manufacturing processes using our Continuous Improvement and Lean tools. My main objective as TPM Coordinator is to increase the productivity of our equipment by facilitating the setup of Visual Management systems to help identify opportunities for improvement with a modest investment in maintenance. Our TPM focus is to increase the Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) of plant equipment. Our TPM program addresses the causes for accelerated deterioration while creating the correct environment between operators and equipment to create ownership. My objective is to identify then prioritize and the elimination the identified causes of the 8 Big Losses. This is done by self-managing teams that solve problems. I'm also a devoted community volunteer coach having coached both Basketball & Baseball for over 25 years. I have coached at every level from a summer Pro League, National & Provincial Development teams & our local House League/ Travel teams. I'm currently the Assistant Coach of the Milton Elite 15U team. I enjoy building teams and helping to foster a positive culture that always strives to improve and provide a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.
