About Steve Morrin

As a second-year resident physician at Northwell Health, I am pursuing my passion for emergency medicine and sports medicine, while serving diverse and complex patient populations. I have two years of experience in assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic conditions, as well as performing procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, and joint aspiration. I also have a strong research background in biomechanics, injury prevention, and therapeutic interventions, stemming from my undergraduate and medical studies at Brigham Young University and SUNY Downstate. I have authored multiple publications and presented at national and international conferences on topics related to housing conditions, upper extremity trauma, and knee pain. Additionally, I have developed my leadership and education skills through various roles such as congregation leader, national board member, team captain, teaching assistant, tutor, mentor, and instructor. I am committed to improving healthcare access and quality, especially for underserved and marginalized communities, as evidenced by my volunteer work as a Spanish medical interpreter and at free clinics. My goal is to become an emergency medicine physician with a focus on sports medicine, and to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practice in this field.
