About Steve Obdyke

I have worked in mental health for over 14 years in a verity positions as I advanced my career and education. I also worked in a hospice for 2 and a half years between mental health positions. I have taken special interest and received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Family Structural Therapy, Bowenian Therapy, Jungian Therapy, Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Clinical Pastoral Education, and others. I remained highly conscious that there is a large body of research proclaiming that the method of choice makes less impact that the ability to deeply attune and relate to the client for best therapeutic outcomes so this was always the foundation of my practice.
