Zebedees is dedicated to providing hot, delicious meals to nursery aged children and a service that is simple and quick for nursery staff to use. Catering for the specific nutritional needs of children under 5 is our specialty. Meals are freshly cooked each morning at our catering facility in Laughton, East Sussex and are delivered in temperature controlled boxes in time for lunch. Our food arrives hot - you simply remove the lids and serve. We cover the South East of England, including Sussex, Brighton, Kent, Surrey, Essex and London. Clients benefit from reduced kitchen equipment and costs involved in cooking in-house, for example food costs, time spent shopping and preparing/cooking food, staff costs and training. If you require short-term help, either because your cook is on holiday/sick or your regular catering provider has let you down, we also provide temporary cover at short notice. Ordering is simple. You place your weekly order on our bespoke online ordering system, stating the number of standard meals you require each day, plus any dietary meals for children with allergies, intolerances or cultural requirements. You are also able to order any optional extras you require, such as hot or cold afternoon teas, organic frozen baby purees or fruit and salad boxes. If you need any assistance using our service, we have a dedicated Client Services team who are always available to offer support by telephone or email. Each member of our Client Services team has worked at Zebedees for many years and are able to answer any query. We have recently started working with The Baby & Child Nutritionist - Charlotte Stirling-Reed, who will be supporting us in future menu development and the promotion of healthy eating within nurseries. Our menus meet Government Guidance for Menus for Early Years Settings. Zebedees is the UK's leading nursery catering company, co-founded with my business partner over 20 years ago. We created a new service for nurseries and other childcare settings without facilities for an in-house cook. I am a professionally trained chef and have been working in the catering industry for over 30 years in 4 and 5 star hotels as a Food & Beverage Manager and Personnel & Training Manager. I have also worked as General Manager for gastro bars All Bar One and Browns Restaurants in London. At Zebedees I manage the Company alongside my Co-Director and have overall responsibility for personnel, health and safety and all aspects of food safety. I work closely with all managers to ensure that the Company runs cohesively.
