About Steve Peck

I bring over 36 years of experience across player development and scouting at the amateur, professional, and international levels, blending the art of traditional evaluation with the science of modern analytics.Recently, I completed an 8-week analytics course and continue ongoing education in integrating model valuations with time-tested scouting principles. This balanced approach allows me to provide a more comprehensive player evaluation process—one that respects the nuances of on-field performance while leveraging objective data to uncover hidden value.I specialize in identifying players whose skills not only project positively in models but also align with our player development philosophy, ensuring a smoother transition and greater potential for organizational impact. My career reflects loyalty, adaptability, and a growth mindset—having spent 13 years with the Seattle Mariners and 17 years with the Boston Red Sox, including two World Series championships. Today, I continue to evolve my scouting lens to meet the game’s changing demands while mentoring others in bridging traditional insights with data-driven perspectives.
