About Steve Peters

I have enjoyed working in the Food and Beverage industry for a number of years. I have experience and knowledge in team building, communications, inventory control, and the procedures of production. I have enjoyed success in building my career at Central City as a machine operator and lead hand of one of the packaging teams along with cellaring/ brewing work. Basic understanding of supply chain management is also a skill I have learned. I recently received my Certificate in Packaging through the Institute of Brewing and Distilling. As well I am certified in WHIMIS, HACCP, Good Manufacturing, and am current as a fork lift operator. I enjoy working in a production environment, and have experience trouble shooting and working with automated canning lines. I have resided and worked in the Fraser Valley for most of my life. One of my passions has been a desire to search out local food, beverage products and the processes to make them. I have been active in the local food market and enjoyed finding the freshest, local products for both my stores and personal interest. I have a passion for food production from the raw materials to the plate or beverage at the table and all the details in between. Children's Hospital has been a fantastic contributor to the lives of our children, their health and well-being. Giving back to Children's Hospital through fundraisers at our stores was a way of showing our gratitude to the hospital and supporting other families that are going through similar challenging times. Autism has played a role in our family's life. It has challenged me on personal and developmental levels. We chose to take the road less travelled in ways of treatment for our son, and have had fantastic results! I might add - this may be one of the greatest successes of my life. My hobbies include restoring my vintage air cooled 914s and Volkswagens. I also enjoy a great bicycle ride with my kids, or long solitary spins out on the road.
