In May 2015 we set up a medical aesthetics clinic in Dunfermline. The clinic is HIS regulated. In 2021 we bought the building, refurbished and rebranded to The Canmore Clinic. My wife and business partner Miranda Philip is one of the top medical aesthetic practitioners in the country and we are Fife's first dedicated rejuvenation clinic. I'm responsible for the marketing and business development for Cherrybank Dental Spa, which is a remarkable dental practice in Perth. We offer the most exceptional dentistry in a way that even the most nervous patients can tolerate, and even look forward to. My career in marketing began as the marketing manager for my father's business, the St. Andrews Woollen Mill, where I became responsible for the planning, buying and design of media including TV, Press, Radio, Direct Mail and the introduction of a company website. Hurry hurry hurry! Bargains Galore! I then spent 11 years in Edinburgh and London in media sales in Press and Outdoor. During this time I won several awards for sales performance, and worked with a large number of SMEs and almost all of the major London advertising agencies and their clients. Notable campaigns were for Carling sponsorship of the underground busking sites, Green & Blacks, Lucas Films, Columbia Tristar, Virgin and Uniqlo. In 2005 I set up the UK division of Jameson Management, as a Diagnostic Consultant & Director of Business Development. Jameson was the world’s largest business consulting and coaching company for dental practices. Responsibilities included all sales activities, and performing the initial Practice Evaluations, spending 3 to 7 days in client’s dental practices and designing and selling the following Consulting Projects. During this time, I spoke to hundreds of dentists, evaluated scores of dental practices throughout the UK, and attended all of the major dental conferences and meetings. This gave me a rare insight into the dental industry, as well as the unique practice evaluation skills.
