I have worked for Wesco for over 15 years. I started my career with Wesco as a Data Communication Specialist in the Vancouver District and most recently took over as the Branch Manager of Wesco Kelowna. I was asked once why do I “bleed blue (green now!) and why do I love working for Wesco. After some thought, here is what I responded with. “While approaching my seventh year with Wesco Distribution as a Data Communication Specialist in Burnaby BC (2610), an opportunity came up to apply for a Branch Manager position in Kelowna BC (2660).” “One of the benefits of working for a company like Wesco is the always changing corporate landscape brought on by many factors including: acquisitions, new branch locations, and a vast variety of positions.” “This allows employees endless possibilities to further their carriers and challenge their own potential. I have recently accepted the position of Kelowna Branch Manager, and look forward to the challenge that awaits me.” Andy Warhol said it best. “Being good in business is the most fascinating kind of art. Making money is art and working is art and good business is the best art.” I look forward to working with many talented people in the Kelowna and Okanagan market and strive to make Wesco Kelowna the leader in Electrical Wholesale. Fast forward and now I guess we all start to bleed green! The merger of Anixter had created opportunities beyond our expectations and as we celebrate our global centennial and 50 years in Kelowna….
