About Steve Rose

I am an exprienced speech pathologist / speech and language therapist and deafblind consultant. I specialise in working with people with deafblindness, sensory impairment, multiple disability and rare diseases. I am an innovator of service development and service improvement, driving person-centred assessment and therapy in a range of settings. Passionate about developing practice-based evidence focusing on my interests in early intervention, parent-child interaction, video-based practices and tactile language. I am national advisor (deafblindness) for Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (UK) and an active collaborator in national and international groups focusing on tactile language and cognition. As an experienced project manager and conference speaker at national and international conferences, I frequently share projects associated with my area of knowledge, skill and expertise. I have experience of sensory impairment sector working, developing strategy, service/programme design, development and implementation.
