About Steve Rudge

Having worked in education and training for many years I initially set up Dolomite Training to work with schools and private clients on educational programmes and specialist outdoor activity courses. This has grown into us developing a stronger Derbyshire outdoor activities platform including National Charity Abseil events. We deliver adventurous activities from Introduction through to specific skills based training on climbing, caving, mountaineering. We work with schools, youth groups, stag and Hen groups, companies on team development, as well as helping numerous charities raise money through our charity abseils or walks like the Yorkshire 3 Peaks or Snowdon Sunsets. We pride ourselves in our integrity and high levels of good customer service. Prior to setting up Dolomite Training I had undertaken a range of successful strategic and operational management roles and continue with my own personal development. I am an NVQ assessor and IQA which rolls over into the outdoor aspects of what we do, I take on a full coaching and development role in Mountain biking, climbing and caving. Earlier in 2018 I completed my CIC (Caving Instructor Certificate) which is the highest caving qualification in the country. This enables me to coach others in essential personal caving skills as well as cave rigging and rescue skills. It also allows me to operate as a technical advisor to several outdoor centres. I have also helped various production companies with underground filming work. Having done my MBA I like to help companies with their people and leadership development and write practical and challenging courses for these groups.
