About Steve Sands

Steve was born and raised in DeLand, Florida. He graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts and was an honor graduate at the University of Florida School of Law where he was a member of the Florida Law Review. Steve brings with him a wealth of experience in all aspects of litigation, including as a prosecutor, commercial litigator, and trial attorney. He managed the local law firm of Sands, White and Sands for over 20 years and is also a Supreme Court Certified Mediator. In his free time, Steve and his wife Kim enjoy traveling and spending time with his beautiful daughter Natalie and her wonderful husband, David. Steve’s first love is the theatre, and his family was instrumental in the restoration and operation of the historic Athens Theatre in DeLand. In addition to the Athens Theatre, Steve has held leadership positions in the Breakfast Rotary Club of DeLand, the DeLand Quarterback Club, the House Next Door, and the executive committee of the West Volusia NAACP.
