About Steve Savage

I have over 28 years of experience in the field of IM/IT with the Government of Canada, the first 25 years at Environment Canada developing business services and IM/IT solutions for use in Meteorological Warnings and Forecasting (24/7), Environmental Emergency Response (24/7), and for the Research, Regulation, and Enforcement divisions, currently at Shared Service Canada taking French language classes full time in preparation for an IT management role. I currently have a CBB language profile for French. I offer a combination of scientific, business analysis, project management, software development, enterprise architecture, cyber security, information management and information protection (safeguards) skills developed in roles of increasing complexity and responsibility/accountability, starting as a research assistant, developer, then development lead, development team lead (supervisor), business analysis, Sr. business analyst team lead (supervisor), cyber security analyst, and Sr. cyber security analyst team lead (supervisor) Through these roles I have gained significant experience with: developing and documenting business, information, application and security architectures, client relationship management, and project management. This experience allows me to identify common solution patterns, leading to reduced costs through reuse, reduced impacts through risk avoidance and mitigation, and the ability to quickly identify the root cause of an issue and help projects and/or services get back on track.
