About Steve Shunk

As a Substitute Teacher, I have been following lesson plans and objectives set by regular teachers to ensure continuity in student learning. I maintain a clean and orderly classroom to create a conducive learning environment, assign and check homework to reinforce learning outside of the classroom, and communicate effectively with students, staff, and regular teachers to ensure smooth operations. In addition to my teaching experience, I have also worked as a Juvenile Supervision Officer at Victoria County Juvenile Center, where I supervised juveniles during activities like recreation, education, and visitation to ensure their safety and well-being. I have also worked as a Home Care Provider at Shunk Household, managing daily activities for children including feeding, bathing, and playtime, ensuring their well-being and development. I hold a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology and Science from Old Dominion University.
