About Steve Silence

I started with Humble ISD Transportation as a bus driver covering open routes from driver absenteeism. I then served as an assistant supervisor in Special Services. I was then moved to help the routing department continuing to move up to the Supervisor of routing. During this time I was awarded Transfinder’s Ambassador of the Year award for the Humble ISD routing team’s work. I have experience with the changing 911 technology in the telecommunications industry for 12 years. I have worked on the team to provide the latest technological 911 solutions in all of East Texas and Louisiana, some of which were the first of their kind. These have included 911 networks, Wireline, Wireless, IP Radio, VOIP, 4.9 radio, Coumputer Aided Dispatching, and 911 mapping solutions. This work involved engineering, installation, maintenance of circuits, computers, servers, switches, routers, etc. Project management, training on operations and use of equipment were also a part of this work experience. I also have experience in installing, maintaining, and operations of church audio and video equipment for several years. This experience transitions from old analog equipment through the new digital age including live-streaming.
