About Steve Stein

I am a seasoned SAFe Certified Agile Coach who has extensive experience overseeing IT projects of varied size and complexity while securing multi-layered buy-in on the scope of objectives and deliverables by internal and external stakeholders. My ability to prepare and guide the execution of detailed project plans, as well as track deliverables and progress, has enabled me to attain on-time and within budget completion. I incorporate traditional and Agile-based methodologies and tools in all phases of projects and have served as a senior Scrum Master for multiple organizations. Currently, I am a Senior Agile Coach with Independence Blue Cross. I integrate agile principles including scrum, kanban, and specialized frameworks into the full lifecycle management of medium-to-large IT endeavors, with a concentration right now on a scaled business agility initiative. This project fits within a suite of claims, billing, and disbursements applications and plays a pivotal role in the company’s NextGen transformation into cutting-edge processing capabilities. I lead cross-functional teams, create OKRs, foster transparency, and navigate organizational impediments. Through my veteran coaching abilities, I have immersed teams in Agile practices, rather than simply creating a requirement, while building communities of practice. One of my key responsibilities with Independence is serving as an ambassador to the national Blue Cross Agile workgroup, coordinating monthly collaborations and sharing best practices.Colleagues describe me as a progressive, driven, down-to-earth, technically astute Agile-informed change management expert who can be relied on to offer superior solutions that deliver ideal results within time, budgetary, and mission-based parameters.
