As a strategic healthcare leader and partner for Hoefer Welker (an Architectural Design Firm) and with over 30 years of experience, there is very little Steve haven’t seen -or done –in the healthcare world. He has been told he has the uncanny ability to see the big picture with a keen attention to detail; and it’s this ability to focus on prominent issues that makes his work meticulous, thorough and complete. Partnering with some of the country’s most demanding organizations, Baptist Health, McLaren Health, Banner Health, and Northwestern Medicine, he relies on a holistic approach that drives creative solutions to complex challenges. Steve also has a diverse range of international experiences and successful projects from the Pacific Rim to the Middle East. Throughout all engagements, Steve instills a skill-set and professionalism addressing issues head on as well as the experience, drive and no-nonsense approach to resolve them gaining the trust of clients and colleagues. This skill-set results in various integrated solutions achieving the unique objectives of each endeavor, pushing boundaries, and challenging clients and colleagues to think beyond the expected.As a registered architect, certified Lean Green Belt and LEED Green Associate, member of (HCD) Healthcare Design’s Advisory Board, and member of the Baptist MD Anderson Development Council, Steve commits to inspiring others, clients and colleagues, in creating environments that enrich lives and are designed to do more.Steve’s responsibilities are broad and include – client management, design leadership, business development, mentoring, and day-to-day firm and studio leadership.
