About Steve Walker

Money cannot buy happiness - it is merely a tool that helps you reach your goals. After a 15-year career as an engineer in the automotive industry, I decided to use my analytical and problem-solving skills to help people develop and reach their financial goals. As an Edward Jones financial advisor, every strategy and solution I recommend is based on what's most important to you; ranging from preparing for or living in retirement, to sending loved ones to college, to outlining estate considerations. No two scenarios are the same, nor are the approaches to mapping out the strategies for achieving those goals. I focus on explaining the investment world in terms that are understandable and relatable. On a personal note, my wife, Cher, and I met in high school and have two sons, Steve and Brad. We love to travel and have had the opportunity to visit numerous countries as well as 49 states—ask me which one is missing! My hobbies include cooking, boating, fishing and golfing. In addition to the AAMS™ designation, I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional; I also hold the Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations and an insurance license. I attended University of Michigan-Flint and graduated High Honors with a BAS degree—with a concentration in healthcare and economics.
